Campaign Update—Orentlicher for Congress

We had important campaign stops in Terre Haute last week, joining the Southside Democrats for their monthly meeting, speaking with the building trades unions at their weekly meeting, and attending a fundraiser to support the very important work of the CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center. In addition, we were honored to receive the endorsement of the Laborers' International Union of North America.

This week, our campaign has already taken us to Spencer County and Evansville, and we’ll be visiting Jasper later in the week.

In all of our stops, we hear the same concern—that the 8th District’s incumbent has not done anything to address the lack of good-paying jobs, the high cost of health care, and the other problems facing our country. The incumbent has neglected the needs of most people.

That’s why we need a new representative. We’ll work as hard as we can to create more jobs—and better-paying jobs—to rein in health care costs, and to improve K-12 education so that all Americans can provide a good life for their families and a better future for their children.
