Campaign Update—Orentlicher for Congress

We’ve had a busy start to April. We participated in a “Meet the Candidates” program sponsored by the Sisters of Providence of St. Mary-of-the-Woods in Terre Haute and also one held by the Daviess County Democrats in Washington. We joined the Clay County Democrats for their Jefferson-Jackson dinner in Brazil and the Southside Democrats for their April meeting in Terre Haute. And we spoke with voters at a meet-and-greet in Mt. Vernon that was generously hosted by the Posey County Democrats, Tony Goben, Sheriff Greg Oeth, and Bob and Bambi Deig.
We mailed our first campaign flyer, and we highlighted values that we will promote in Congress. In particular,
If you work hard, you should earn enough to provide for your family. The promise of America is a strong middle class and a brighter future. But to make that a reality for everyone, workers need good paying jobs, and women need equal pay for equal work.
Every child should have a good school and the opportunity to succeed. Opportunity starts with a great education. We need to renew our commitment to quality education for every student – from pre-K for all, to excellent teachers in every classroom, to affordable college education.
